Mission: Red Cross Blood Drives

Overview: 6 times each year, Pebble Hill and DeWitt Community Church alternate hosting the Red Cross Blood Drives. We provide the site and volunteers for phoning, the registration desk and hospitality. We also provide many of the donors.

What is Involved? You can be involved as 1) Phone person to call potential donors and help them set a convenient appointment time. This is done prior to the drive day from your home or church. 2) Registration desk - when donors arrive, greet them and assist in filling out the necessary paper work. 3) Canteen Area/Hospitality - serve post donation refreshments and make the donors comfortable in our church. 4) Donate blood - If you have an hour and are in good health you can donate every 56 days. Why not?

History: PHPC began hosting the Red Cross in the Spring of 2001. They wanted a regular site in the Dewitt area to help people who are non-givers or random givers to become more involved in regular blood donations. The Red Cross goal for our site is 45 pints per drive.
