We gather as God’s people each Sunday morning at 9:30 to sing praise to God, seek God’s forgiveness and grace, hear and respond to God’s word in scripture, lift our prayers for our world, for others and ourselves, and celebrate God’s love for us. Worship is the central act of our life as the church. We celebrate two sacraments in the Presbyterian Church, Baptism and the Lord's Supper, or communion. We baptize infants in our tradition, but baptism may also be received at any age when a person comes to a saving faith in Christ and desires to be part of a worshiping congregation. At Pebble Hill communion is celebrated on the first Sunday of each month, and at other special times during the year. |

Children are welcome in our worship. A “sermon with young Christians” takes place each Sunday by our Pastor, early in the service. Children through grade 5 then leave the service for their time of Christian education. Young people grades 6-10 form this year’s Confirmation class, which meets at the same time as adult education, 11:00-12:00 following our fellowship time after worship. The last Sunday of each month is our “Gathering” Sunday. Worship on those Sundays is in a somewhat different style than on other Sundays – less formal, with different kinds of music and a different way of sharing God’s word. Children remain for the entire service on “Gathering” Sundays. |
